生存法则第一条：跟对人。首先找有钱的有权的，最好是一国之主或者能出得起 one billion EUR。(Attention! They only accept EUR, not USD. See how fast USD is depreciating these days...) 找不到有钱的有权的就找 Scientists / Doctors，尤其是学天文地理的。这也不行的话就留神那种长相猥琐（鬼片主角）、职业卑微（Limo driver or unsuccessful writer)、生活失意（老婆离婚孩子不甩你）的男人。搞不好人家就成了拯救世界的个人英雄了。

 

生存法则第二条：狂练车技+学会开飞机。尤其是当路面开裂房屋崩塌而人类唯一的诺亚方舟在地球彼端的青藏高原上时，车技不好不会开飞机？估计还没等你跑出加州就已经要么淹死要么摔死要么砸死了。

 

生存法则第三条：准备两辆好车+一架豪华飞机。在美国境内可以先用Lincoln，最好是Limo，实在没有我想普通的sedan应该也行吧……（马上改造我家小白。）等到了喜马拉雅山就得换Bentley了。注意，还得是声控的："Engine start." 飞机越大越好，能飞越太平洋且不用中途停在Hawaii加油那种的。And better made from Russia.

 

生存法则第四条：有个能造spaceship的哥哥，这样即使没有 one billion EUR 也能走后门遛进去。但小心从通风口钻进去前必须先确认一会儿舱门是否要关闭，否则腿被夹断了事小，整艘飞船因为你一个人卡在那儿而关不了门最后导致连船带人一头撞到珠穆朗玛峰上可就事大了。毕竟“导致humanity and civilization灭亡”的罪名可不是闹着玩的。

 

生存法则第五条：会游泳、会闭气。这样你才能在整个人类生死存亡的紧要关头还能唠唠叨叨啰啰嗦嗦地教育儿子你要为了妹妹好好活下去吻别老婆说我爱你最后还能奇迹般地从suicide mission平安返回活着看到洪水平息地球改颜换貌人类开始新纪元的那一刻。

 

最后，如果你做不到以上五条，那么请从今天开始，好好珍惜每一刻，让你的家人和朋友知道你爱他们，你在乎他们。We only have three years left. Count Down NOW!

虽然咱不懂军事，阅兵绝大部分时间都在看热闹，但这热闹看得也挺激动人心的。

虽然刚开始听到央视的官腔解说还小小地抽搐了一下，但凭着20来年的修炼很快就适应了。

虽然现在已经过了热血和愤青的年纪，但还是忍不住要高吼一嗓子：“中国万岁！”

唯一不满意的是为啥咱领导人都穿西装打领带啊？连Warren Buffet都说了，中山装才是潮流，才是王道！顶一下涛哥。

 

原谅我两年没与祖国大陆亲密接触了，国庆贺文写成这个样子，一点中心思想都没有。年底一定回来接受党和人民的再教育！

茶道有云：一期一會。意思是說，坐在一起這樣喝茶的機會，或許一生只有一次，所以喝每一杯茶時都要抱著感激的心，格外珍惜。因為下一次與你面對面喝茶的，就不再是原來的那個人了；而你所喝到的茶，也不會再是原來的那一杯。

 

茶如此，音樂亦如此，人生的每一件事，亦如此。

人都死了，还骂来骂去的，这个世界无聊的人也未免太多。

 

R.I.P. MJ

MJ死了，周四的下午，离下班还有大约半个小时。无聊的人们传播着这条还算是爆炸性的新闻，借以消磨那最后一点无聊的工作时间。

没有任何震惊的感觉，或者惋惜还是遗憾，似乎长出了一口气，就像当初听到张国荣的死讯一样——他终于可以安息了。

媒体似乎总是喜欢在人死后为其平反。现在又蹦出来说什么当初被指控性侵犯男童其实是莫须有的罪名，他是流行乐之王，成就无人能出其右，blablabla... 我只想堵住耳朵。早干什么去了？怪胎，变态，异形，这些词又是谁发明的？

在YouTube上看模糊不清的Jackson 5时期的表演，那样活力的舞蹈，那样特别的声音，那样纯真的笑容。那个时候他才多大？看样子最多不超过10岁。他有幸福的童年吗？小小年纪就出来讨生活，作为乐队的核心人物，在舞台上又唱又跳。他的故乡Gary我去过，离Chicago仅半小时的车程。曾经的钢都现在只不过是一座死气沉沉的空城。就是这个“人何寥落鬼何多”的地方，出了两位名人，一位是他，另一位是被现代经济学奉为教父的Paul Samuelson.

The Screwdriver is the original vodka and orange, so named - as the story has it - after an American oil-rig worker developed the habit of stirring his drink with a screwdriver. Presumably, swizzle-sticks are in rather short supply on oil-rigs. 4 measures / 6 tbsp orange juice

 

Add the ingredients, spirit first, to a rocks glass or whisky tumbler loaded with ice cubes, and throw in a slice of orange. Made with freshly squeezed rather than commercial juice, the drink tastes more grown-up and appears to pack more of a punch, as the juice is naturally thinner than concentrate orange juice from a carton.

因为Good Friday的long weekend没有利用上，某Z非要催着我上周六把下个星期的机票订了。本来253的价钱只让我犯嘀咕：又不是什么节假日，凭什么这么贵……但某Z振振有词地搬出MSN上的farecast说机票涨价的概率在80%以上。我最终耳根子软，心一横把机票买了。结果今天一查Travelocity, 同样的机票现在只卖177…… Orz

 

血的教训：

1. 如果认为自己的想法是正确的，任何时候都要坚持。

2. 遇见不利情形时一定要沉着，否则倒霉的是你自己。

3. 买机票weekday有discount的可能性比weekend要大得多。据我的观察，很多航空公司的sale都是周一开始，周四或周五结束。

 

P.S. 刚才不死心地给AA打了电话，问能否price match, 对话如下：

M: 我的机票买贵了，你们能price match吗？

R: 如果你要re-issue机票，先交150块手续费，这样算的话你还欠我们74块。

M: 那我不改了，你们能把这76块的差价作为credit for my future reservation吗？

R: 不行。

M: 没有其他的workaround吗？

R: 没有。

M: 其他网站都可以price match啊，像Orbitz, Travelocity, 你们就不能通融一下？

R: 我说了不行就是不行！

M: 那我以后可要考虑是否在AA订票了。

R: 随便你。

 

老娘此时真应该拿出武汉人的彪悍作风骂一句: "Thank you for your shitty service, you bitch!" 可是人在美国呆久了，也变得忪了，这句话愣是憋在舌尖上没吐出来……囧

 

血的教训（续）

4. 如果航空公司网站上的票价和那些travel agency的票价是一样的话，最好在travel agency那里订，因为它们往往有price match. 不然像我这样亏了钱不说大半夜的还被一个更年期的恶女给骂了一顿，身心皆摧残啊！

Slumdog Millionaire

"I will keep this simple: Cancel whatever you're doing tonight and go see Slumdog Millionaire instead."

以上是Boston Globe的影评。而我今晚也放弃了作业、CFA、工作，花了10块银子去电影院膜拜了这部电影。看完后觉得简直物超所值，让我花钱再看一次也愿意。终于明白为什么AMC肯给它安排最大最好的放映厅，也终于明白为什么它能够横扫08年电影界各项大奖。无论是叙述的方式、情节的发展、拍摄的手法、演员的演绎、甚至音乐的渲染，都足可以让它成为今年Oscar的最大赢家。刚刚在Baidu上search了一下，惊讶地发现国内已经有不少筒子通过各种渠道看过这部电影了，连OST的下载都有了。一边惊叹国内的盗版速度真是日新月异，一边又哀叹国内的电影业啥时才能与时俱进呢？——连小印都走到咱们前面去了。

 

Milk

Oscar五部最佳影片中，我觉得唯一能与Slumdog Millionaire抗衡的影片。原打算是去看Valkyrie的，但中间有一个多小时的空档，为了打发时间随便选了家放映厅冲进去。看标题还以为是什么cult片，准备瞅上两眼等那边到点了就走人。结果一坐下去就再也起不来了。原来在San Francisco的历史上还有这么一位伟大的政治人物——Harvery Milk, the first openly gay man to be voted into public office in America. 他最后被他的政敌刺杀了，他也知道自己会有这么一天。我觉得他很像Lincoln, 为那些没有得到公平对待的人的权利斗争，胜利，然后死亡。和Lincoln一样，他也是被枪杀死的。死前的那一刻，他透过City Hall的窗户望着对面的Opera House, 那里正上演着Tosca.

 

Revolutionary Road —— Leonardo DiCaprio和Kate Winslet继Titanic后再度合作。相比十年前，DiCaprio显得成熟多了，Winslet则别有风韵。只可惜，结局是一个悲剧。推荐给结婚若干年已被孩子磨去了新婚激情的couple看。

Valkyrie —— Tom Cruise近几年来最好的作品。影片基本真实地反映了那段历史，只是阿汤哥的表演似乎不太对德国人的胃口。German critics met the film with "a measured and hospitable reception" but "savaged Tom Cruise's portrayal" of von Stauffenberg. Oops!
